Stuff about
Images
-
Flagged Images
Images and designs will be marked as flagged
if they contain inappropriate content, flagging is at our discretion and
we will not be bullied or pressured into showing designs we deem
offensive. Flagged Images are invisible to the public and can not be
sold
-
Copyright
We take Copyright theft very seriously!! Any
image that is found to be used illegally, without the copyright owners
written consent; will be flagged. The publisher will be contacted and
asked for to provide a proof of rights to use of the image/s in
question. If we are not satisfied, images will be pulled and user will
be given a stern warning. If the user continues to upload and publish
designs, their account will be banned with out warning.
- Images from
the internet
- Just because something is free
to look at online, does NOT mean you can take it. Always gain
permission to use any images found online, or in any other medium
- Assuming you have permission to
use an image you found online, beware that it my look really bad on
your products. Online photos are designed to be viewed online and are
usually very low resolution and will print poorly.
- Nudity
and Other Graphic Imagery
Your products are manufactured by real people who may be offended by
nudity. Tagged Images will show in the Marketplace where there maybe
young people browsing. . Images of erotic/fantasy/romantic themes are
generally ok, as long as they do not contain full frontal nudity or
pornographic scenes. Imagery that is deemed offensive in this nature
will be flagged.
-
Image Sizes
Image file size is limited to 10MB at a time,
Images that are over this limit may fail.
-
Image DPI
An Image of 72dpi will print fine. as long as
you don't enlarge it and that there is enough pixel information.
- A 2480x3508 Image @
300dpi will produce a perfect A4 print and can be enlarged 50%
(even 100%) with very minimal degradation at printing.
- A 2480x3508 Image @
72dpi will also produce a perfect A4 print but will degrade
dramatically if enlarged more than 5%.
- The more DPI and Pixel
dimensions the larger the file size (weight).
- Use the
image templates and design sizes for best results
-
Image Servers and Space
All members get their own server space, with
unlimited storage. You can create folders to help with your image
organization.
-
Tagging Images
Artamatik does not fully support the marketplace.
You Should only tag Images if you want to
contribute to the marketplace. We recommend you spend this time in
promoting your storefront instead, tags won't bring in sales as well as
product page optimizations for search engines . Focus your time on your
storefront instead
- All images entering the
Marketplace go trough a review process, generally by our
manufacturers. There are literally thousands of designs in the review
queue; it can take time for images to be processed in rare cases, some
images will be dropped... if a design does not show please be patient,
or try resubmitting it.
- The main thing is that you can
see your design on products in your own storefront! This is where you
want your sale to be made!
- Don't use tags unrelated to the
image subject
- Adding tags does not
improve your chances of being picked up in outside search engines such
as Google, Microsoft live or their search partners.
